Parental Choice

Parental Choice TeamParental Choice Ltd is the “one-stop shop” for all of your queries regarding your childcare options, including nursery education grant funding and dealing with the administration involved in employing a nanny. We work hard to find the right childcare for parents, making sure we provide parents with all the advice and information that they might need to make the right choice for them and their families. Our searches cover maternity nurses, child-minders, nurseries, au pairs etc. Our services include providing employment contracts and payroll services for parents that decide that they need a nanny.

Our aim is to take the stress away from parents and help them make the right decision as to what childcare is right for their children.

Meet the Team

A senior finance lawyer with over 10 years’ international legal and commercial experience working within London, Paris, New York and Tokyo, Sarah-Jane retrained as an employment lawyer and set up Parental Choice in 2011 to help parents, such as herself, understand the childcare options available to them and make it work with their careers. Parental Choice now provides corporates and their employees with childcare search, HR and payroll services.

In 2014, she was recognised by Brummell Magazine as one of the City’s Top Inspirational Entrepreneurs, whilst she was shortlisted for Mumpreneur of the Year in 2015.

Sarah-Jane is a trustee of the Family and Childcare Trust, a member of the CIPD Policy Forum and CIPD Senior Diversity Network and has been involved with Government consultations on child-minder agencies and the National Living Wage as well as speaking publicly at Government policy briefings on topics such as “Bridging the Gender Equality Gap – The Future Role of Women” and the “Back to Work for Women” programme.

A mother herself, she understands the struggles involved in finding the right balance between work and children. Seeing the issues facing working parents from both an individual and corporate standpoint, Sarah-Jane and her team work together with companies and parents to make sure parents get the most of out of being with their children whilst still being able to work. Companies in turn retain the talent and increase loyalty and commitment within their teams.

Chartered member of the CIPD, Stephanie has worked in senior roles within Domestic and Childcare recruitment, both nationally and internationally, for over 17 years. Combining this experience with that of being a busy mum to three children has given her hands on experience of understanding the pressures of juggling childcare, a career and the family. Stephanie is responsible for managing the corporate relationships with our corporate clients together with the needs of their employees and being available to answer any queries they may have regarding the best childcare for them.

Lisa Lee joined Parental Choice in 2015 as the Payroll Administrator and will often be the first point of contact for you. She previously enjoyed a long and extensive career in marketing and guest relations within the luxury travel industry. She is acutely aware of the importance of excellent customer relations and strives to provide the highest service levels, from straightforward, clear and concise communication to providing a patient demeanour and a sympathetic ear. She enjoys meeting, talking and helping people to find the best solutions for them.

She made the transition to join Parental Choice for the opportunity to be involved in helping the company grow and for the flexibility offered, due to having two primary school aged children that she wants to be around to enjoy, from the after school playdates to the constant demands of extra-curricular activities.
